Terms of Use

The following rules apply to the use of HamptonAmbassador.com and also for riding on board Hampton Ambassador and/or Hampton Jitney. These rules may be changed at any time without prior notification.

For your own safety, please remain in your seat at all times while the bus is in operation. Arrival times are estimates and can vary due to weather, traffic conditions, road conditions and day of week. We are not responsible for delays or cancellations due to causes beyond our control.

Reservations

Reservations are required to guarantee passage. Reservations can be made online at HamptonAmbassador.com or over the phone at 631-283-4676. Reserved passengers must be at the stop at least 5 minutes before departure time in order to hold their reservation. To change or cancel a reservation please log into your account or call. Multiple same day, same direction reservations will not be honored. No shows may be charged full fare.

Payment and Cancellation

HamptonAmbassador.com allows users to pay in advance of travel by credit or debit card. Reservations that have been paid for in advance can be changed and/or cancelled for a refund up to eight hours in advance of the departure time. Reservations that are cancelled after this four hour window will not be refunded. Reservations that remain active but result in a no-show situation where passenger(s) do not appear at their designated boarding point before the departure time will be charged a $20 no-show fee.

Payment On Board

Registered users of HamptonAmbassador.com can make reservations and elect to pay on board the bus using value pack tickets, cash or credit card. However, a credit card is still required to make reservations as the no-show fee is still applicable.

Individual Seat Selection

Though not required, registered users can opt to select an individual seat at the time a reservation is made for an additional fee. Only select Ambassador trips allow for individual seat selection; seat reservations may not be guaranteed under extreme or adverse conditions.

Pets

Pets are an additional $10 fee per pet and must be kept in an approved, small, enclosed carrier throughout the trip per NY State Dot regulations. If your pet carrier does not fit under seat or cannot be kept on the passenger’s lap, full fare will be charged for each seat occupied by the carrier.

Luggage and Freight

Luggage must be checked (except carry-on). $250.00 maximum luggage liability. Packages, freight and other items not accompanied by a passenger are subject to a $100.00 maximum liability. Hampton Ambassador will not knowingly accept or transport any luggage or freight item with a value in excess of $1,000.00. HJ is not responsible for unchecked luggage and freight. Please tag all luggage and freight with name, address and phone number. Two bags per passenger may be checked as luggage at no charge. Surfboards, bikes and other special handling items are subject to an additional fee. Hampton Ambassador reserves the right to inspect the contents of luggage and packages. Hampton Ambassador is not responsible for lost tickets or personal property.
